Small RNAs: Guardians of the genome


​​Researchers at our laboratory [Collaboration] use the Drosophila fly to identify genomic sequences and protein partners responsible for the production of small RNAs (piRNAs) acting as repressor of transposons. By inserting into genomes, these transposons contribute to their instability (evolution, adaption, but also appearance of pathologies).​
