The primary cilium, a biochemical and mechanical antenna connected to the cell cytoskeleton

Researchers at our institute have demonstrated that the spatial confinement of the cells affects their overall intra-cellular organization and their ability to assemble a primary cilium, and therefore to receive external signals. This type of regulation may thus have important consequences for the functioning of cells in the genesis of organisms and in pathological changes such as cancer.
