In vivo biofilms

The formation of bacterial biofilms may be the cause of nosocomial infections or antibiotic resistance. While most research on the mechanisms of formation of these biofilms is made in vitro, a collaboration of researchers at the Large Scale Biology Laboratory and Dr. de Bentzmann, Université Aix-Marseille, has yielded in vivo results in the formation of biofilms of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in Drosophila. The foundation for further research can be launched.
