Cellular studies were so far performed in classical culture and the role played by the microenvironment of the cell on the cancer formation was not considered at its true value. The Broccoli Project developed by reasearchers at our laboratory in collaboration with different laboratories including the LCIV (DTBS, CEA-Grenoble) aims to characterize a new matrix for cell 3D culture. In such an environment, cells can organize and reconstruct a functional "body" (3D) on which many external factors of the microenvironment will be tested thanks to the control of microtechnology.
